Tuesday, May 5th Joshua 21:43-45
“So the LORD gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their forefathers, and they took possession of it and settled there. The LORD gave them rest on every side, just as he had sworn to their forefathers. Not one of their enemies withstood them; the LORD handed all their enemies over to them. Not one of all the LORD’S good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”
Thought for the Day: God is not slack concerning his promises (2 Peter 3:9).
Thursday, May 7th Joshua 1:7, 9
“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left…Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Thought for the Day: God is with us.
Tuesday, May 12th Psalm 97:1, 98:4-6
“The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice…Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn – shout for joy before the LORD, the King.”
Thought for the Day: Our God reigns! Shout for joy before the LORD.
Thursday, May 14th Isaiah 53:5
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
1 Peter 2:24
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.”
Thought for the Day: By his stripes, we walk in healing.
Tuesday, May 19th Psalm 119:105
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
Thought for the Day: God’s Word informs, comforts, and gives us direction in this season.
Thursday, May 21st Exodus 33:19
“And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.”
Thought for the Day: The mercy of God is from everlasting to everlasting (Psalm 103:17).
Tuesday, May 26th Psalm 91:1-2
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust’.”
Thought for the Day: We are in that secret place, the love of and fellowship with the Supreme God. So, rest in the Lord.
Thursday, May 28th John 17:9-11
“I (Jesus) pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours…Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name – the name you gave me – so that they may be one as we are one.”
Thought for the Day: Jesus prayed for us. We are victorious! Strengthen the brethren (Luke 22:31-32).
